How to Throw a St. Patrick's Day Party That is Pure Gold | The Party Darling

Top of the mornin' to ya! Saint Patrick's Day is coming up, and lucky you, we are going to share some of our tips and tricks on how to Throw a St. Patrick's Day Party That is Pure Gold!

Sham-rockin' Backdrop

We created a beautiful Pastel Balloon arch framing the backdrop! The balloons coordinate with the colors in the plates and napkins, tying it all together. We used this Feeling Lucky banner set strung up underneath the balloon arch. These banner sets are fantastic to decorate because they come in two individual garlands that you can separate or cut to a different size if needed!

These balloon garlands and banners would make an excellent photo booth backdrop for a lucky one first birthday party or your lucky charm baby shower.

Delightful Dining Table

The Pastel Rainbow Table Runner sets the foundation of our party tables. This table runner is a 10-foot long roll, which is perfect if you have a big dining table or multiple surfaces you want to decorate. Table covers are stunning party decorations because they not only spice things up with some extra color, but they protect your tables from nasty spills and drips too.

We dusted the table runner with this Easter Confetti Pack (with some of the darker colors picked out), along with some plastic gold coins from a local grocery store to give it a bit of luck o' the Irish feel.

We have a Pastel Clover plate accented with a beautiful Pastel Rainbow Napkin set at each place setting. A set of Blush and Gold Cutlery is also at each place setting so guests can enjoy their delicious snacks. Guests can sip in style with the Gold Cup and Pink and Gold Striped Straw. In the middle of the table is a sweet store-bought cake that we added sprinkles to match your theme.

Snacks and Shenanigans

The most delightfully decorated desserts you'll ever see are sitting under the balloon garland like a delicious pot of gold! Our dessert table features an array of St. Patrick's Day-themed snacks. You can find St. Patrick's Day treats at your local grocery stores towards the end of February and up until March 17th, like these lucky charms rice krispies treats, four-leaf clover cookies, and Lucky Charm marshmallows. Some more St. Patrick's Day food ideas are green macarons and pastel M&M's.

When you're looking to buy goodies for a party, pick the primary colors in your theme and try to buy food that matches. Candies and cookies are an easy go-to and are perfect for including in your party favors.

We picked up plain white cupcakes and added colored sprinkles to match. Adding sprinkles is a fantastic party trick if you can't find a cake or cupcakes that go with your theme–just decorate it yourself!

To further tie in the colors of this theme, we placed these store-bought cupcakes in our Mint Green Baking Cups. You can also fill these cups with finger foods like trail mix or use them for baking your favorite cupcakes right in the oven.

Our friends at Objection Confections made these beautiful pastel rainbow and shamrock sugar cookies to match our theme. Check out their Facebook page for other cookies made by this attorney by day and baker by night.
