St. Patrick's Day balloon garland

Are you looking for some festive and easy party decorating ideas for St. Patrick's Day? You are in luck because we have the party setup just for you. The color inspiration for this party is shades of greens with gold. Whether you’re Irish or simply Irish at heart, you’ll have the ultimate St. Patrick's Day celebration with this party setup.

PARTY BACKDROP

You can never go wrong with a balloon garland as the backdrop for your food table, beer station or photo booth. This garland is made with two shades of green, white, gold, and clear confetti balloons. The sizes range from 5" to 11" balloons. I also added the gold script 'cheers' balloon and the emerald green shamrock to add some variation.

A St. Patricks Day party is not complete without four-leaf clovers. I made these clover arrangements by using four 5" emerald green heart balloons tied together with a single lime green balloon in the center.

I always like to add a little something to the blank space between the balloon arch and the table. A simple solution to cover empty space is using banners, garlands, and party fans. The green shamrocks and gold horseshoes garlands make a great addition to our background. I also added a couple of green tissue fans to fill the empty corner.

PARTY SUPPLIES

The party supplies and decor in this setup coordinate with the colors in the backdrop. Gold lunch plates, shamrock dessert plates, green plaid napkins, gold dot cups and napkins, gold stripe straws, and wooden flatware make up the place setting for this party setup.

Table scatter/confetti is an easy way to add some cheer to any party table. I used the royal sparkles confetti from our shop and then added some gold plastic coins and shamrock decor to make the perfect table runner for our party theme.

PARTY FOODS

When putting together a simple and inexpensive sweets table, I always look for holiday snacks in the bakery of our local grocery store or Walmart Neighborhood Market. My favorite prepackaged desserts are the Lofthouse brand cookies. They are so yummy and have designs for every holiday.  Plus they are made in a peanut and tree nut free facility.

I also got these cupcakes in the grocery store bakery. I fit them inside our gold confetti dot baking cups and finished off with these four-leaf clover cupcake toppers I made with my Cricut die-cut machine.

PARTY FAVORS

Leprechaun popcorn is an easy snack to make and works perfectly for a St. Patrick's Day party favor. I used a bag of Smart Pop popcorn and mixed with melted Wilton's candy melts (colored with green candy coloring). Then I portioned the popcorn into these gold and white striped favor boxes, added a shamrock die-cut, wrapped in cellophane, and tied with white and gold dot ribbon. Such a simple little party favor that your guests will enjoy!
